"I had a great time at Kenyaways! The hotel is super cozy, the rooms are all different from one another and each one is special in its own way. The location is great, with direct access to one of the best parts of Diani beach and close to the best restaurants of the area. The cherry on top was the service because the staff was really great and caring during the whole stay. I hope to be back soon!"

"Kenyaways is a boutique hotel with character that sets it apart from your run of the mill accommodation. It's not "perfect" in newness or shine, but has a charm that actually does make it perfect! Great restaurant downstairs. Wonderful beach with a kite surfing shop next door. Highly recommended!"

"We stayed in the crossbow room which was lacking. We do feel like we were a bit catfished as the photos on their website look a lot better than in person. I’m specifically talking our room and cannot speak of others- although we had AC which we were thankful of, the room is dingy with old fixtures and dirty areas. I mean it’s okay of a room but I expected a lot better from the photos and the other reviews. Slow drains, dirty behind the beds, nets, etc. I do wish I spent more money and went else where. The positives: the salty squid restaurant is quite good, beach front loungers just steps outside our door, lovely seaweed free beach!"

"We booked a small room without air conditioning for 11 nights. Weeks before our arrival we tried to change the room to one with air conditioning. It took over a week to get a response from the company after sending whatsapps and emails and they said it was possible to switch the room. After confirming the other room we got a message that somebody else had booked the room now, even though we could see in the booking system that there was availability. When we arrived after a night in the original room with over 30 degrees at night and ants in our bed, a room with air conditioning and windows was suddenly available, which we had booked at the normal price for 5 nights (no discount, no accommodation for us), but we were still told to stay in our original room for the last four nights. That was simply unbearable for us with over 30 degrees Celsius and 80% humidity at night. So we paid the full price for a room for 4 nights which we didn't use and moved to another hotel. Furthermore, the communication with the owner Linzie was absolutely strange, she always communicated through the staff at the reception (no personal communication or even a phone call). We really tried to find a compromise but she always hid behind her policies, the staff at the reception and was not entering any of our proposals. Additionally, every room bill we received from her contained errors, to us it seemed like she was trying to trick us. It's just sad, with a normal person/host we definitely could have found a solution that would be okay for both sides. Ultimately we didn't feel welcome during our stay. Therefore, we would not recommend the B&B if you are looking for a unique and heartwarming experience. Apart from that we have to say that the restaurant was great and the staff was overall really nice, especially Alex from housekeeping. By law she was right with her own cancellation policy, but is that hospitality?"

"The beach is amazing with a long expanse of clear white sand at low tide and a narrow beach at high tide. The sitting area is separated by a sea wall to prevent harassment by locals and keep your items secure when you go to the beach. The hotel is lovely as a local hideaway but definitely not fancy. The Salty Squid has good food and friendly staff. There are devilish little monkeys that will steal any unsecured food and try to get into your room. All around, a nice little hotel. My only big negative was the salty showers. There is no fresh water so you are showering and rinsing in salt water. Also on the main floor, expect millipedes in your room."
