How to get there
You can take a boat from Cartagena (Muelle Turistico, in front of Parque de la Marina) which takes you directly to the beach at 8am. But it also returns around 4pm, so you will miss the wind, but you can stay overnight. Or by car, then park (fee) and walk for about 5-10 min).

Baru / Playa Blanca, Colombia is a
Chop and Small waves spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Small size.
Long, but narrow beach. Walk north away from the main crowds for more space to launch the kite. Best way is to launch the kite towards the water and land it being in the water flying it low so the helper can catch it. Specially during weekends and holidays many sun bathers. Many huts along the beach. If you are alone, walk all the way north to the kite school for help to launch.
Beautiful water colors. Chop with small waves, better for jumping to the right as it gives small ramps. Many swimmers along the beach. Watch out for boats. Few rocks at shore line.
