How to get there
From Groningen you go to Emshaven, from Hamburg, Hannover or Bremen you find the way about Emden. From Emshaven or Emden take the ferry to Borkum island. You can leave the car at the continent, take your kite/surf stuff only and your bike. If you come by train you have connection directly to the port, where the ferryboat is leaving. On the island you go further by train or bus. Borkum City, directly in front of the pedestrian zone, but there is also a big parking behind the dunes. You reach the 'Esplanada' after a few steps and you can admire the perfect all round spot.
