How to get there
Get onto BR402 which goes to Camocim. The peninsula is across from Camocim. There is a bus from Fortaleza, very cheap but it's a very long and tiring trip. Any taxi-buggy service you can find in Camocim, to move out of the town, is very expensive.

Long sandy beach. Lots of space. It is sandy peninsula, so launch anywhere around it. Be very careful during the low tide, because it's absolutely full of outcropping rocks starting from Ihla Do Amor and going on along the cost till Maceio beach.
From strong irregular choppy to waves till 1.5-2.5 mt during high tide. You can find almost nowhere flat water, except in some lagoon/bay close to Ihla Do Amor or north of Maceio beach.
