How to get there
From Bordeaux drive south towards Biarritz. Follow signs to Capbreton. Here get onto Avenue des Alouettes and drive south and turn right to the ocean and park. Walk for about 200m onto the beach.

During summer (June to August) you usually have a nice thermal wind (10-20knots) which starts to blow from beginning of the afternoon (with the tide) up to the end of the afternoon. Direction is usually West to Northwest in the afternoon while it's East in the morning. September to October is the blowing season with depression bringing strong wind up to 35-40 knots. Direction is usually West to Southwest.
