How to get there
Easiest is a rental car. Follow the signs to the Outer Banks from Norfolk (route 168S and then 158S). Then take route 12 south all the way down and at the end of Avon turn right into Park Street, just after the gas station. Drive to its end, park and walk about 100m down to the beach.
