There is
Thermal and Frontal wind
at Palmones, Spain.
With the Levante the wind comes mainly sideonshore. The wind is a bit stronger here than in Getares, but less gusty. In the afternoon the wind gets less gusty. The wind changes from Poniente (West) to Levante (East) in general every few days, guess the best rate can be up to 60-70% days with more than 4 Bft per month in summer. Best direction is definitely ESE. When wind is forecasted from East, it´s possible that the wind will come into the bay (ESE) because of the mountains and geographic effects. Less strong winds than Tarifa.

Beach and Tide Conditions
Kitesurfing conditions
do not depend on Tide
on this spot.
Palmones, Spain is a
Shallow, Flat, Chop and Small waves spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Medium size.
Wide sandy beach. Lots of space. On one side it is limited by a river mouth. A few rocks at the river mouth.
Flat water. Further outside it gets choppy. With stronger winds small waves, breaking on a sandbar in front of the river mouth, depending on tides though. Behind a sand dune it has a small lagoon. You need to cross the river, which has some current. The water is often contains tar and has a funny taste, probably due to the factories and ships in the bay. Avoid drinking it when you wipeout. Also, watch out for the jellyfish in the summer.
