tide for kitesurfing is
High Tide,Coming Tide,Falling Tide
.
Port Phillip Bay / Altona Coastal Park, Australia is a
Shallow, Flat and Chop spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Medium size.
Sand down one end and gritty sand on the other end. There is plenty of places to launch. There is a fairly large beach. And off the beach there is a nice grassy paddock.
The water is usually great. The tide doesn't really matter although it is a fair walk out if it is low tide. On high tide there is flat water until about 50 metres out and then it turns into chop which is great because you can go charging and launch off the chop. Water is fairly shallow in some spots.
