How to get there
Prea is 3 hours from Fortaleza. From Fortaleza head West to Itapipoca on the BR-222, keep driving to Amontada (33km). Drive another 36 km after Amontada, you will see a gas station and pousada on the right hand side called 'Triangulo de Morrhinos', make a right there. You are now 38 km away from Acarau, keep going straight on this road until you get to a round-about with a 'big fish' in the middle, here make a left towards Jijoca. After 9 km you will drive across Cruz. Keep heading towards Jijoca for 19 km, you will go over a bridge and see an island on the left-hand side, 10 minutes after that make a right turn at the Prea sign onto a dirt road. You will see a tourist information desk on the right hand side. Then just follow the signs to Prea. It is 12 km from the asphalt.
