How to get there
From Tarifa (about 50km) towards Cadiz, pass Conil on the N-340/E-5. Turn left onto Carretera de las Lagunas. Pass through 1 roundabout. Enter next roundabout and take 2nd exit onto Calle Albatros. Enter next roundabout and take 3rd exit onto CA-2134/Carretera de la Barrosa. Pass through 1 roundabout. Then to Sancti Petri Puerto and find the beach.

Behind a big sand dune you will find this sandy beach. The bay is about 800m long. Packed during summer. Then launch from the island on the opposite site of the channel. You can get there with a shuttle for a small fee.
Beautiful clear water. Sandbars with shallow and perfect flat water. Close to the rivers mouth always flat. Outside the bay you can find nice waves, specially on SW wind. Watch out for the boating channel, the stakes marking it and boat traffic. Look out for currents in the river mouth when tides change, you can easily loose your kiteboard.
