Wind can also be Southwest in the mornings which is side off, this is normally before the Northeast kicks in around 12-2 p.m. When pressure systems come from the north, the wind can come from Northwest to North, to NNE. This wind is quite onshore, and usually VERY strong, and often gusty. At times, the Northeaster will not kick in and the wind will stay from the Southeast, and stay offshore, this winds is usually very warm and gusty, because it comes from the land.
