How to get there
Get to the island Usedom thru Wolgast on B111. After about 12 km on Usedom turn left onto L264 towards Karslhagen and Peenemuende. Once you crossed the train tracks and made a hard left turn, about 2km further you will find a parking lot on the left. Parking fees apply, but no charge for the beach access. Caravans and vans are not allowed to park here! You will get a ticket. No other parking lot around! Park on the North end of the parking lot. Walk across the street and through the forest for about 200m to the beach.

Summer nice and warm. Usually a wetsuit is always needed, but high summer just shorts on warm days. Water can get up to 22°C. Fall and spring a thick wetsuit is needed, winter cold but possible to surf.
Summer has lighter winds. Nice NE winds with sun possible, but normally lighter. Fall to spring mainly westerlies, but also North possible. ENE exactly onshore.

Choppy water. The stronger the winds the better the waves. In strong winds (NE) nice waves can form on the sandbar with up to 2m. Further outside even bigger. Very shallow for about 100m with flat water until the sandbar. The further North the bigger the shallow area forming a lagoon. Some shells in the water.
